Here We Go Again: 128GB Blu-ray Discs

The New Spec is called BDXL
which stands for

(In the Donald's Voice:

Huge!

Regular Blu-rays are just 50GB. And the regular DVD is 4.7GB or 2 hours.

That makes the 128GB behemoth 27 and 1/4 hours.

Hello Avatar!

Well actually, no.

Avatar Will fit on a dual-layered Blu-ray disc.

It does mean you'll need a New Player that can handle

three or four layers.

And the PS3 weak laser can't drill into that depth either.

And did I mention, 3D TV's are right around the corner.
