Former USC kicker David Buehler turns heads at NFL combine
1:41 PM, February 25, 2009

Former USC kicker David Buehler, who seems like a linebacker and could have been a fullback or safety, wams up for football by playing volleyball with a soccer ball. Naturally. Usually, the only guy on a football field who can't kick anyone's tail is ... the kicker.

Kickers aren't required to lift at the NFL Combine, but Buehler did -- outperforming many linebackers, tight ends and even offensive linemen. He bench pressed 225 pounds 25 times in a row -- which would have made him the strongest cornerback, second-strongest wide receiver, third-strongest safety, fourth-strongest tight end, sixth-strongest running back and eighth-strongest linebacker at the weeklong event. He actually lifted more than a couple linemen who are projected as first-round picks.

His strong legs are also quick legs. Buehler ran a pair of unofficial 40-yard dashes in 4.56 and 4.63 seconds, easily ranking among the best tight ends, linebackers and broadcasters.

Infrastructure: What Does It Mean?

infrastructure
=============================================== n 1: the basic structure or features of a system or organization [syn: substructure] 2: the stock of basic facilities and capital equipment needed for the functioning of a country or area; "the industrial base of Japan" [syn: base] -- From WordNet (r) 2.0 ===============================================
That's the Dictionary talking, a simpler explaination would be: "Putting shovels in the ground to build or repair bridges, roads and buildings that have been neglected too long..." Yesterday on the History Channel, I saw another version of the meaning of Infrastructure:

The Building of the Alcan Highway in 1942.

-------------------------------------------
BACKGROUND:
--------------------------------------------
Alcon Highway was 1,522 mile long Alaskan Highway and took 11,000 soldiers to build.

7 regiments of soldiers.
of the US Army personnel, 1/3 were black.

Distance from Washington DC to Denver Colorado.

It's probably not necessary to remind ourselves that we've been in Space for quite some Time now. About 50 years.

In that time we've, shall we say, Lost a few things Out There. Wired Science has seen fit to tell what some of those "Things" are, in an article Linked Below.

Gene Roddenberry was right: Space, the Final Frontier.

Above you see a typical Web Page. At least, what it is today: WEB 2.0 and counting.

It sort of reminds me of a routine that George Carlin would do about "Living in A Box within a Box".

Here, we'll call it a Waste of Space within the Browser.

The Most Important Part of a Web Page is the Content.
(The Main reason Twitter is so popular is Because it's "Just Content"--No Fluff)

The Problem with The Current State of the Web Page is that it has become a Blog Page.

Which means it gets filtered by the Idea that One Bag Fits All.

And in so doing the Content (which is King Remember) gets cluttered up with Designer Foolery Like Over-Dominant Headers, Footers and the meaningless Blank Space on the Sides for who knows what.

Here's the same page with the Blog Non-Sense taken out. Big Difference , huh.

So why do we put up with this non-sense?

To Please the Blogger Gods???

That's my 2 cents, what's yours?

People often ask me why do we need so much Storage, like a 2TB and up Hard Drive?

You are Looking at the Answer right Now. A Top-of-the-Line HD Camcorder that pushes the Envelop to the Next Level.

Quoting TrustedReviews: "With a bit of interpolation, still images can be snapped at up to 3,984 x 2,656 pixels, although only when the camcorder is in photo mode. Otherwise, the upper limit is 3,840 x 2,160 pixels...".

This Snow covered branch 8MP Canon Powershot Picture is 3264 x 2448.

Scaled for Blogger to 800 x 600:

The Branch that Gagged Blogger.

The Flickr Link is Here:

(This picture comes from a fill-in link to my Flickr account)

The Max Size at Flickr is 1024 x 768, so you need to triple the Rez to get the Idea of how much detail an HD Camcorder gives you.

No Price stateside yet on the Panasonic Camera, but the reviews are Glowing...

I'll keep you posted:

Link: http://cultofmac.com/iphone-update-creates-headaches-for-itunes-users/7721

Patch 2.2.1
=====================

After updating my iPod Touch yesterday, I went online and googled about the update to see what it was for and found downloader were having problems syncing to iTunes after the update.

Other sites say the problem has something to do with DRM songs.

Other sites suggest that you "Don't Download" Music from iTunes until a New fix is installed, and syncing problem is fixed.

No Word from Apple yet.
