The Bad is they took Linux

I guess it "Costs" too much to use

"Free"

MRS: Microsoft Retail Store A-Coming

Revealed By Tweet Straight

from the Window's mouth:

Link: http://www.engadget.com/

"Here you have it, folks. We knew this was coming, but the first photographic evidence of a Microsoft retail store under construction has just come to us -- via the company's Twitter account -- and we have to say, it brought a few tears of joy to our eyes. The first two stores are set to be opened in Scottsdale, Arizona and Mission Viejo, California this fall.

Wonder if the inside will look anything like those plans we saw? "
========================================

Say it isn't so....

What Are They Going To SELL? ? ?

I just found out that Google saves every picture used
in a Blogger Post to a Blogger-named fiolder under your User Account.
Since I have 17 plus Blogs, all the pictures used in them are stored
by Google. Talk about a Mini-Cloud....
MC2 (renamed title) and MediaCircus2 have almost

800 Pictures...

USB Product of the Year!

All those USB popcorn makers, heat pads, drink coolers and coffee machines pale in comparison to the i.Saw. This would easily be the USB product of the year…if it were real. Thanks to everyone that sent this one in.

Really, Windows 7

is

NOT THAT BAD...

2 New Search Tools From Google...

===================================
2 New Search Tools From Google...
===================================

The First is called

Similar Images

and it
allows you to
search for images using

pictures rather than words. Click the
"Similar images" link under an image
to find other images that look like it.

--------------------------------------------

And the Second new service is called:

News Timeline.

This search engine provides refined time searches for news only (crude time-specific searches are already in Google's base search engine, but often return inaccurate results for when the page was published). The result is that you can specify a time period of a specific day, week, month, year, or decade, and get news results tagged with specific keywords from that time period.

This search in particular should be a godsend for tired college students looking to get their Sociology or History reports done. To bring the Apple theme full circle, the new search was actually designed by Andy Hertzfeld, a former member of the original Apple Macintosh design team, lured away by Google. He pointed out at a special news conference that the search not only encompasses web articles, but scanned books, print newspapers, and magazines.

No Machine NX and Google Gadgets

================================
NX aka NOMACHINE is running ======= Added a Google Gadget to iGoogle
Fedora 9 64 Bit (laptop)

Cool software that Just Works...
================================

The Coding Bug has hit me again, and I've started playing with Adore AIR and Glade Interface Designer and I want to eventually do work on Touchscreen apps (using a mouse in Gnome) and Bluetooth and GPS plugin apps.

Because of this I've decided to work on simple Gnome Desktop patchwork ( a starter program for Gnome Developers).

It's time to Give Back to the Open Source Environment that has changed my way of Looking at Software in General and Linux in Particular.

My Posts may not be as frequent as they have been in the past, but I'll be doing work on the System (Linux, Fedora, Gnome) that inspires contribution from us all.

Google has Competition? Maybe.

===============================
Google has Competition?
Maybe NOT.

===============================

It seems there's usually two sides to every story (on Network News-4-6).
Here's the CUIL (the new search engine invading Google's Domain) SIDES:

the INQUIRER's verdict of CUIL: Cuil is Not so Cool. http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/07/29/cuil-pants

...and REALTECHNEWS asks:

Is Cuil Cool Enough to Take on Google?

http://www.realtechnews.com/posts/5904

==================================

And Speaking about Two Sides to Every Story:

HP says: XP is Still Killing Vista in Sales Volume:
http://apcmag.com/xp_still_killing_vista_in_sales_volume_hp.htm

Microsoft says: 180 million Vista licenses now sold. http://arstechnica.com/journals/microsoft.ars/2008/07/18/three-months-later-180-million-vista-licenses-sold-in-total

===================================
Where does the Truth LIE? (pun intended).

And in honor (kinda), of Tarantino's
upcoming Movie introduction

"Hell Ride" (mid August 08),
here's a museum right up your Route 66:

The Story about the movie also came from WIRED (my Favorite mag).

The Good, The Better and the SCARY

Early in the year, Motley Fool said: Google was the Worst Stock to own in 2007.

What Fools!!!

In March, Google was selling for $440.00 a share, the lowest for the year, but still GOOD.

It's IPO, quite a few years ago, was around $80+ a share.

That might have been the report that Motley saw that precipitated that faulty advice.

However.....Just a few months later, the tide turned. And everyone was feeling peachy when it saw the good numbers for Apple and even Microsoft, last week.

Then the other Google Giant SHOE hit the Fan...

Today 10/31/2007, in after hours trading, Google hit 707.48 a share as of 6:48 PM ET.

During the day, most analysts were slack-jawed at the year-end closing performance of Google stock. But some hinted that it could cross the $900.00 mark before the end of the year.

How about that as being pretty Scary?
