MC2 Blog Today's Commentary:  The Best Part of Super Sunday was (at Last!), the Game (the Good).  A very goodly contested battle between two teams that showed the strain of a long tough season. 

In the End, Green Bay, the Home of the Lombardy Trophy, Won. 

But it could easily have gone the other way.
 
The SB Commercials played a discordant secomd fiddle this year and well it should: Most of them were terrible (the bad), and quite a few were rejected from SB Showing (the ugly).

Unfortunately those are also posted online for the world to see how really bad and ugly they really were.  Go Figure.

Christina Flubbed her singing of the National Anthem. But you just knew Vegas would have a "line" on the proceedings.  You know: Over, Under and Push.

Exhaustion Now Imminent

This is just a quick note to say that, in a ceremonial event in Miami, the last five blocks of IPv4 addresses have now been handed out by IANA, a part of ICANN. Each of the five regional registries -- North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia -- now have only a few million IP addresses to allocate.

IP address exhaustion will hit Asia first. With 24 million IP addresses used by APNIC in January 2011, and only around 50 million addresses left in its pool, exhaustion is 
expected to occur in the next few months. 

Europe will be next, probably towards the end of 2011, and North America will follow 

sometime in 2012.

One website titled "Stop the Meter" asked for users to sign a petition, which gathered over 357,000 signatures to stop the bill. The CRTC said that it has received thousands of complaints about the decision, a strong sign of displeasure among Canadians.

This news will be well received by Canadians, where many started to worry about the Internet cap usage shrinking from as much as 200GB down to a mere 25GB per month.
