MC2 Post 1694 ZTE Supreme Hits Virgin Mobile packing 5-inch Screen and 13MP Camera






Virgin Mobile has announced that it has a new smartphone coming that will work with its Beyond Talk plans starting at only $35 per month. The device is called the ZTE Supreme and it is an Android smartphone. The device runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the operating system.


Under the hood, the smartphone has a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, five-inch display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a front camera with one-megapixel resolution. The device also has a microSD card slot for storage space.

SanDisk has unveiled a new high-capacity storage solution for photographers and videographers using devices supporting the CompactFlash format. The new storage card is the SanDisk Extreme Pro 256 GB CompactFlash card. The card meets the latest VPG-65 specification.

SanDisk says that the new memory card provides minimum sustained write speeds of 65 MB per second and is optimized for the capturing of 4K and full HD resolution video. The memory card also promises industry-leading transfer speeds of up to 160 MB per second.

The fast transfer speed is optimized for fast action and continuous burst mode shooting. SanDisk says that these memory cards are designed for professionals and are backed with a lifetime warranty. Inside the memory card, SanDisk uses RTV silicone for added protection against shock and vibration.

Open SBC  Runs Android and Linux on Quad-Core Rockchip

Radxa is accepting preorders for a compact, open, Android- and Linux-ready single board computer based on a 1.6GHz quad-core Rockchip RK3188 SoC. The $89 and $69 Radxa Rock and Rock Lite SBCs offer up to 2GB RAM and 8GB flash, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet connectivity, real-world ports for HDMI, Ethernet, USB, and S/PDIF, and numerous other interfaces on a pair of expansion headers.Shenzhen China startup Radxa is another open SBC project from CubieBoard founder Tom Cubie.

 
Whereas the latest CubieBoard2 is based on the dual-core, Cortex-A7 Allwinner A20 system-on-chip, the Radxa Rock moves up to Rockchip’s quad-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, according its schematic and specs. The two board versions differ only in their respective memories: 2GB or 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and 8GB or 4GB of NAND flash.
