SUN VALLEY, Idaho – It didn’t take long for the consolidation buzz to begin at this year’s Allen & Co. conference, a get-together of honchos from the media and technology worlds known as a venue for deal-making.


Speculation about mergers that could remake the media landscape was already flying Tuesday afternoon at the entrance to the Sun Valley resort, where a procession of powerful executives padded out of luxury SUVs to check in to their hotel rooms and settle in for a week of hobnobbing.

Adidas MiCoach FitSmart leaks out –

A combination of leaks have outed a new device from Adidas: 


the MiCoach FitSmart band.

 

The device looks like a rubber-clad fitness band (in both black and white), with LED dot-matrix-style display and heart rate monitor. It would follow on from the MiCoach SmartRun watch, which features GPS and heart rate tracking too, and comes with the same watch-style band.

Allen and Co.’s annual conference of technology, media and business moguls kicks off bright and early today, July 9, at Sun Valley Resort. Attendees are expected to stay in the Sun Valley Lodge, Sun Valley Inn and surrounding cottages.

    

Numerous participants arrived Tuesday for conference registration and an evening wagon wide to Trail Creek Cabin for a barbecue dinner.
