MC2 Post 1240 Expert Witness says Most Popular Hotfile Downloads are Open Source Apps

Law and Disorder Header snapshot:

The HotFile copyright infringement case:

Charges against Hotfile that alleged direct copyright infringement were thrown out last year by a federal court judge. The remaining charges allege that the company is liable for inducing its users to infringe copyright. The answer to that question will hinge on whether the courts find that Hotfile has substantial non-infringing uses.

 "Fighting Windmills..."

Years ago, AM Radio Rights Holders wanted to keep up and coming FM Radio from stomping on their money-making grounds.  The litigation delayed the Better Technology (FM)
by 30 PLUS Years, from getting a foothold.
If fact some of FM's "Best Features" have never been released.

Copyright litigation cases have created some really bone-headed stumbling blocks to INNOVATION.
Old Technology will fight tooth and nail
against New Technology every time.

They've been doing it for years.
