To Live and Buy in LA Trends and tips for shoppers and savers All Circuit City stores to close by Sunday 01:06 PM PT, Mar 5 2009 After weeks of liquidation sales, bankrupt Circuit City Stores Inc. will shut its doors for good this weekend, according to the Associated Press. Circuit City, which used to be the nation's second-largest consumer electronics chain, announced in January that it would close all 567 U.S. stores after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November.
